The states of the Schengen Area re visa-free. Neither do visa requirements for short-term (non-gainful) stays in the Czech Republic apply to citizens of the following states:
- Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Dominica, Grenada, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, Chile, Montenegro, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Kiribati, Colombia, Costa Rica, Macedonia, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Monaco, Nauru, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador, Samoa, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United states of America, Serbia, St. Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Solomon Islands, Taiwan, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Ukraine, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Vatican City, Venezuela, East Timor.
Citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia and Ukraine do not require a visa only if they hold biometric travel documents. Citizens that hold non-biometric travel documents must have a valid short-term visa.
The visa-free regime does not concern Taiwanese travel documents which do not contain a proof of identity number.
